ABOUT THE COLLEGE
The College is the Kelvin Grove State College, a Prep-to-Year 12 educational facility established in 2002. The predecessor schools include:
- Kelvin Grove State High School (1961—2001)
- Kelvin Grove State Primary School (1950-2001) and Kelvin Grove Infants School (1950-1960) following the merger of the girls and boys school.
In 1960, the Infants School was merged back into the Primary school, with its site becoming home to the new Kelvin Grove High School.

- Kelvin Grove State School (1876-1886)
- Kelvin Grove Road Provisional School (1875-1876)
Early institutions that were replaced by Kelvin Grove schools
- Brisbane North Intermediate School (1935-1954) — The site became Kelvin Grove Teachers College site, now part of QUT.
- Industrial High School (1947—1962)
- State Commercial High School and College (1933—1962)
- Central Technical College (1913—19??)
- Brisbane School of Arts
